The Rhododendron Festival is a highlight of the summer season in Bakersville, drawing crowds eager to experience the stunning floral displays and partake in a range of festive activities. The star of the show, of course, is the rhododendron, a native flower known for its large, colorful blooms. During the two day event, locals and tourists can experience a craft fair, pageant, hikes to the Rhododendron Gardens, and one of the largest street dances in the area.
